as-salaamu ‘alaikum, its interesting how every time there is a freak accident where people die, the first thing everyone does is goes to experts and scientists for answers. Not once does anyone in the media or anywhere else in regular life discuss how fragile this life is and at any moment it may be taken from you. Frankly, I believe that they could check all of the bridges in American and anywhere else for that matter. If Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala wishes to reclaim his property - the souls of those whom have passed (may Allah have mercy on them all) - then there is no checking; no scientist; no expert in the World - of which he created - that can stop it. So I say go ahead, check the bridges, perhaps it will give a much needed job to someone and therefore sustain a family or several families for a time and who knows… perhaps they will give thanks to their Lord for sustaining them.
