Food Crisis
Posted on May 18th, 2008 by Tariq Nelson
The Food Price Crisis manifests itself here in the United States in a lot of uncomfort. Elsewhere in the world it is life and death.
Those in the DC area: The Dar Al Hijrah Food Bank is having a food drive and is urging donations in the form of rice, oil, flour, toothpaste, cereal and other non-perishable foods. When you are at the store - and can afford to do so - please pick up a little extra and donate it to the Food Bank. Please deliver all donations at the DAH Food Bank or Main Office, Monday- Friday 10AM-4PM. If you have any questions, please call 703-531-2905 or email: daralhijrahss [AT] yahoo [DOT] com
Those outside the area can donate online (select Food Bank)

Geez! this food crisis is no joke.Who would have ever thought that the “R” word( Ration) would be a word that would come up in the States? Wal-Mart and Costco said that they were doing it with the rice
Just to think, in the past food banks were for the those people who were for the less fortunate. As we are now seeing, were seeing people with advanced degrees and/or good jobs coming to them, not because they are trying to deadbeat anybody. The cost of living has gotten so high…and very unaffordable. Just goes to show that we are really living in some really hard times.
Hi i have wondered how much you would to set your blog theme up on my web log for me, because i truly like the look of your blog but i do not know how to do such a great design.
