Convert Leaves Fake Nail Bomb

Looks like another mentally disturbed convert…You have to be mentally disturbed to leave a fake bomb on a bus in the name of a religion. Unless it was some insane joke

A white Muslim convert planted a hoax bomb on a bus full of people with a note saying that ‘Britain must be punished’, a court was told today.

Nicholas Roddis, 22, is thought to have disguised himself with a long black beard before planting the fake home-made nailbomb on a crowded bus in Rotherham, in May last year.

Leeds Crown Court was told Roddis, of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, had recently learnt the teachings of Islam in a move to convert over to the religion and had even recorded the preachings of disgraced cleric Abu Hamza.

A mentally disturbed person listening to the deranged teachings of a person like Abu Hamza is a terrifying combination

  1. It’s sad isn’t it? I have always protested about the way white converts to Islam are often viewed with suspicion, and yet each time I read these stories of recent converts planning mayhem, I am suspicious myself. A man who “disguises” himself in a big beard in order to plant a (fake) bomb? A peculiar tactic, wouldn’t you say? It is with regret that I have my doubts. Regret because I hated having to prove the authenticity of my faith. Regret because I know that others viewed my “conversion” with suspicion a decade ago and I still recall the pain. It is sad.

  2. Reading this article is enough to make one squirm. Where do these dim-witted people come from?

I’ve been studying( continue to study) the faith. While I will never profess to being an expert of the Muslim faith, it’s just mind-boggling to get how these people translate god’s name to deceit? I haven’t seen a word of it written in the Qur’an and won’t( not that I want to). Being a non-Muslim, I had to wonder the same thing? So far, I’ve had some really good Muslim brothers/sisters that are helping me out in my journey to it( I almost did it a couple of years back, but I realized that there were so much more that I need to learn before I become one. I got carried away before learning about it.). But I’m quite sure that there may be some Muslims( if I tell of my secular Christian background in which I do) that may see me in the same light, not because of hate, but because Muslims have been scapegoated for the world ills for so long.Mr. Roddis does make it bad for everybody who is trying to do right in the name of God.
