Biden?

Yawn
All of this buildup and we get Joe Biden? I am not impressed. Obama is not running a very good campaign. In fact, during the primaries I was afraid that he would run out of gas like this.
John McCain has already put out an attack ad (below the fold)
Doesn’t look like such a smart move.

it is actually brilliant - the reason is Pakistan.
me either, i just wonder what happens if obama looses?
From what I have seen:
There is a percentage of people who have decided to vote against Barack Obama for several reasons which have nothing to do with his credentials. They judge him based on how he looks, and they judge McCain based on how he looks. From the looks of it, you know how important images are to the American psyche as you have chosen to enhance your story with a photo as though you are saying, “I don’t like the way that looks”.
Everyone is talking about how Americans don’t know Obama very well, the reality is that Americans are too lazy and would rather choose the person who “looks like” they could run the country. Biden has “the look” of the presidents and VPs of old. He also has the voice and the experience to counter John McCain, as well as potentially satisfy Hillary’s ghost.
I looked for the video from the Daily Show, but I couldn’t find it on YouTube.
From the McCain website:
* Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart: “You may end up going against a Senate colleague, perhaps McCain, perhaps Frist?” Sen. Biden: “John McCain is a personal friend, a great friend, and I would be honored to run with or against John McCain, because I think the country would be better off — be well off no matter who…” Stewart: “Did I hear, Did I hear with?” Sen. Biden: “You know, John McCain and I think” Stewart: “Don’t become cottage cheese my friend. Say it.” Sen. Biden: “The answer is yes.” (Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” 8/2/05)
McCain has stumbled plenty since then.
please shut up….just shut up
Who should he have chosen?
Joe Biden?!?!?!
I personally like Biden and believe he is a good yin for Obama’s yang. That being said, I cannot wait for the Neocon bumper stickers….
“Obama Bin Biden”
Joe Biden?!? Oh ,why him? I was hoping that it would be Hillary Clinton.
I’m majorly disappointed that Obama, or should I say Obama’ advisors told him to choose Biden. Obama is suppose to be about CHANGE . Change isn’t about bringing in an old washington insider. I would have love to see him choose Jim Webb. Until the scandal broke I hoping for John Edwards.
Obama/Biden that don’t sound to good to me. Neither does Vice President Jospeh Biden.
President Obama and Vice President Biden..that’s kind of tongue twister right there.
I still think that a Republican VP, eg Chuck Hagel, would have been a better move, possibly politically, but also to re-ignite the people’s trust in the role of government.
I’d like to see politicians become less purely ideological, and set out more to do their original intent, ie create an environment where policy can be discussed and debated freely for the benefit of their constituents.
