  1. Greetings of peace,

I am an active father and husband. I take my children to school almost everyday. It gives us time to talk in the morning or they can get a another nap during the 25 min ride to school. My 15 year old daughter would be the first one dropped off and then I would continue with my son at his high school. My son is off to college now but I had those father-son morning talks that I pray will make a difference. My daughter and I will have a few years of mornings and then she’ll, Insha Allah-God willing, be out of the nest as well.

I am in support of the effort to get my brothers to stand up; to be men, to be husband-fathers. Brother Malcolm X said; “Anybody can make a baby - but everybody can’t take care of a baby, anybody can get a women - but everybody can’t take care of a women. Father means that you take care of children - Husband means you take care of your wife, that you have taken on the responsibility of MANHOOD. …..”

    As-Salaamu alaikum,
