Inspiring the Youth

Obama has qualities to admire (good father, hard worker, has a solid family unit) and it is good - in light of the problems in our community - for people of all races to see such a positive image. However, politically he is an empty suit and his egotism is now being used against him by the McCain campaign
They are running such a bad campaign in the Obama Camp that I am afraid that these kids will be dissappointed come November. I hope that they don’t give up on their dreams as a result.

Sadly, I think you’re right. I was never really high on Obama, since I always figure that at the end, he was still a politician. However, I’m even more concerned about his chances of winning.
Quite frankly, the only reason I still support him is because he was against this crazy war for the beginning. I still respect him for that. But otherwise….I’m a little disappointed.
Unlike other former US presidents. Barack has so much on his back. His supporters in the US and even in some other countries are counting him. Also , unlike them ( the US presidents ) the people do not want to see him slip. We cannot afford 4 more years of Republican dominance.
I don’t know what’s been up with Barack, but he cannot afford to go backwards. I’m hoping he will recognize his problems and correct them. I also wouldn’t want those kids to feel that way as well. I hope that they will preserve no matter what obstacles come in their way. Life is about facing and overcoming challenges. Whether Barack wins/lose the presidency, they must be reminded not to quit and continue to fight the battle. Quitting is the worst thing that they can do.
What campaign have you been watching? He ran against the Clintons and WON. Hillary won a seat in the Senate after having no ties to the state she now represents. Bill got her that seat and it was expected that he would get her this nomination. They failed. Again I definitely don’t understand where any of you are coming from. I did think that he needed to come back stronger against McCain. However, compared to that old man (McCain) who isn’t being challenged on anything Obama has done brilliantly.
