Another touching story. My late maternal grandmother is about the same age as Charles. I think she would have felt the same way…
Charles is correct in that many people his age have passed away. All of my grandparents are now dead. I thought of them when I cast my ballot this week and how proud [...]

Four days to go and some black Americans are uneasy about the election
For weeks now, James Jones has been extra courteous in traffic and at the gas station because he has an Obama sticker on the back of his truck. “Something like that might make a difference for Barack Obama,” Mr. Jones explained. “I’m not [...]

For those that missed the 30 minute Obama Commercial, I have posted it below. I thought it was brilliantly put together and very moving. Many have said that they were moved to tears…

Alfred Liggins in the piece below touches on some of the themes I wrote about a few months ago - blacks are not a monolith. Liggins mentions that black Americans are economically stratified, but it should also not be forgotten that blacks are also ethnically stratified (Liggins counts 11 different groups of blacks). Look for [...]

One of the things NFL season usually means are great commercials. Nike has a great “leave nothing” series. This is the latest one featuring Ladainian Tomlinson and Troy Polamalu being portrayed as kids coming up and finally meeting up in an NFL game…
Gotta love the message

The “closing argument” from Obama. I am ready to work for a better nation
“Each of us has a responsibility to work hard and look after ourselves and our families,” Obama said in a speech in Canton, Ohio.
“Each of us has a responsibility to our fellow citizens,” he continued. “That’s what’s been lost these last eight [...]

Perhaps Palin didn’t hear the person in the background. You be the judge…
Get out to vote
Update: The person seems to have said “redistributor”.

When I hear friends say that this election will be a “landslide”, I can’t help but get irritated each time I hear that because the election has not been held yet. It seems like a ploy to rest on our laurels and not finish the job. Yes, the polls look good for Obama, but the [...]

With a full week to go until election day, it seems that the Republicans are already starting to turn on each to other to begin to place blame for a loss. I am still not going to count this as a win (for Obama) until November 5th. Nonetheless, this is the strangest campaign I have [...]

Talking Points Memo says so
John McCain’s Pennsylvania communications director told reporters in the state an incendiary version of the hoax story about the attack on a McCain volunteer well before the facts of the case were known or established — and even told reporters outright that the “B” carved into the victim’s cheek stood for [...]

UPDATE: It is Official…She Lied
A McCain volunteer claimed that she was attacked by a black guy and that he carved a backwards ‘B’ into her cheek. I have to give credit where credit is due as Michelle Malkin calls BS instead of buying this fishy story.
We have enough low-lifes and thugs in the world running [...]

Even I would still say that it is too early for him to essentially give up. Afterall, the polls could be wrong. The election is not until November 4th…why this behavior?
Republican John McCain is not going to make his election night remarks in the traditional style — at a podium standing in front of a [...]

The polls are looking better than ever for Obama, and the Democrats are coming out in droves for early voting. But are the polls accurate? Will the election reflect what is in the polls right now? I am just ready for the election to come already

Other than Colin Powell. I have personally heard Republicans say similar things - especially about Palin

It is amazing that this guy is still on the radio with this kind of crap…He has been beside himself the past few weeks and especially since Colin Powell endorsed Obama. They man may leave the US if Obama leaves. Hope he has a nice trip while he is gone
