O.J Finally Goes To Jail

He may spend the rest of his life in jail (how poetic that it happened 13 years to the day after his acquittal). Couldn’t have happened to a better man…

  1. It took 13 years but Justice has been served.

  2. The was a revenge verdict…

  3. Good grief. What a long list of sentences

  4. It is about time. My thoughts really go out to his kids. They are the real victims here, besides his ex-wife and her friend course.

  5. I am so happy for Nicole and Rons’ family. Finally they get some justice and hopefully so peace.

  6. OJ trial #1

I watched the whole trial, and thought he was guilty when it began. OJ didn’t kill those people. Judge Lance Ito tried to hand the case to the prosecution on a silver platter and they still couldn’t convict him. Why? No motive!

  7. daud,
I’m not sure how serious you are when you made that comment, but I have to stres… you do not need a motive to kill, neither do you need to prove a motive to convict.

people hype over a “motive” because of movies and stuff, adds to the drama, but the jury does not have to have a motive in order to convict.

  8. Justice in this case as NOTHING to do with the murder case of the 90’s..

Only ALLAH and OJ knows if OJ killed those two people, one who was a known ‘coke’ head with nefarious relationships. A criminal court of law found him not guilty. The civil case against him that caused him to become bankrupt was a joke - flat out!

I grew up watching OJ. It’s a shame that the man who played in ROOTS and endorsed everything from Dingo cowboy boots to Hertz rental cars will die in jail and broke.

  9. Man, how is O.J. going to find the real killers if he’s stuck in jail???

  10. As-Salaamu `Alaykum,

On the real, this guilty verdict shouldn’t be equated for making up for murders that he was found “not guilty” of in a criminal court of law. The civil verdict against him for those deaths was garbage.

We’ll have to see how just the sentencing is for this recent conviction. If he gets the max, it’s politically motivated. There are people who literally shoot people in robberies in Nevada that get less time than what “The Juice” will most likely get.

Don’t get me wrong, he needs to sit behind bars for a minute, but his sentencing shouldn’t factor his celeb. status or that most of America thinks that the former “Black buck” really did kill poor Nicole (even if she had nefarious relationships and drug debt from her cocaine habit).

How sad it is that this man who used to have the shoe endorsement, the Dingo cowboy boots, Hertz commercials, and one of the stars in “Roots” sank to such a pitiful state. I guess he forgot his previous time in jail felt.

May ALLAH (swt) restore him to sanity then guide him to the Way of Ibrahim (AS).

  11. The way of Ibrahim (alayhi wa salaatu wa salaam) was abrogated. The Qur’an replaced the Book(s) he was given, and the Shar’eeah of Muhammad (salallaahu alayhi wa salam) replaced Ibrahim’s (alayhi wa salaatu wa salam). The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alayhi wa salam), who was the Imam of all the Anbiyyah (Alayhimus salaatu wa salaam) said to Umar ibn Khattab (radiyyallaahu an) that “if Musa (alayhi salaatu wa salaam) were alive, he would have to follow me.” This applies to all of the Anbiyyah (alayhumus salaatu wa salam).

  12. @Daud
The way of Abraham was not abrogated. ALL Anbiyah followed the way of Ibrahim (AS). From the Qur’an,
2:135, And they say be Jews and Christians, Say: Nay I prefer the religion of Abraham, he was a Hanif. I think we are missing the point of Imam Dawud. He said; “may Allah restore him to sanity.” Abraham (AS) used his logic and reason in Quran and his nature and character was Hanif. ” and guide him to the way of Abraham.” I am sure Imam Dawud would like to see OJ as a Muslim.

  13. The second part of the Shahadah that enters one into Islaam is, “I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah.” That requires one to follow him, and his Sunnah, and without it one can not have eemaan.

The Deen of Ibrahim (Alayhi salaatu wa salaam) was definitely Tawheed, but we don’t have his Book, nor do we have his Sunnah, nor his Shar’eeah, so how can we call to his way with insight? In fact, Allaah spoke of the blessed Deen of Ibrahim (Alayhi salaatu wa salaam) in general, but actually told us very little about it, so it is not correct to call to his way or any of the past Propehts (alayhimu salaatu wa salaam) for that matter. We are to follow the Imam of the Prophets, and that is the way of Muhammad (salallaahu alayhi wa salam). We call to the Deen of Muhammad–the Book revealed to him, his Sunnah, and his Shar’eeah.

I’ve been in conversations with people who thought like this before. Someone with dreadlocks–which is not permissible–once told me he was following the way of Sulayman (Alayhi salaatu wa salaam), using this same reasoning. What if OJ took shahadah, and said I reject the way of Muhammad because my mom never told me about him, instead I’m following the way of Ibrahim (Alayhi salaatu wa salaam) because he’s one of the names I learned in sunday school. Would he be Muslim? It is not proper to say this.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking I’m being petty. We need to strive for perfection in our Deen–which is something our tribe does not do; and is the reason why you find the majority of our people mispronounce things that sometimes changes the meaning. We don’t even correct these mistakes. What’s even more amazing is that there are major callers who can’t even say “salallaahu alayhi wa salam” correctly i.e. Siraj Wahaj. Why? Because he didn’t bother to strive for perfection in his Deen; he doesn’t think it’s important to say it correctly.

What scholar called to the way of Ibrahim (Alayhi salaatu wa salaam), or any other Prophet besides Muhammad (salallaahu alayhi wa salam)? I’d like to know because I started looking and can’t find one, yet. Does anyone have an example?

  14. As we sit here debating and petty hair-splitting there is a real war going on in Iraq by the TRUE ENEMIES OF AL-ISLAM that we need to pay close attention to. I’ve posted a youtube link. Let’s see if we got the courage to face the REAL ENEMY and not these fabricated ones that show only how intellectually impotent we really are. THIS IS SOME ALARMING STUFF. THIS IS IMPERIALISM 101!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Allaah will protect the Ummah from the christians, so we don’t have to worry about them. The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alayhi wa salam) made du’a to Allaah to protect his Ummah from being destroyed by the disbelievers. Allaah is Al Mujib (the One who answers the du’a) , so we don’t have to worry about them and their plots.

The people of innovation and desires are far greater dangers to the Ummah than the disbelievers ever could be, because they destroy Islaam from within. They wear our clothes and speak our language. What we MUST concern ourselves with is how the Ummah got in this state of humiliation in the first place. The people of innovation and desires are the blame. Everyone with an innovated belief, innovated statements, and innovated acts of worship, and our negligence in stopping them is to blame. Most of the Ummah loves the callers to misguidance, and hate the scholars who refute them, and warn against their misguidance.

The Messenger of Allaah said, “…Allaah will not lift His humiliation up until you return back to your Religion.” The solution is already with us. It is not “petty hair-splitting” to correct the error of calling someone to the way of Ibrahim (alayhi wa salaatu wa salam). His way has passed. In Surah Al Baqara 2:124 - 133, Allaah talks about the virtues of Ibrahim (alayhi wa salaatu wa salam) and his off-spring. In Ayah 2:134 Allaah says,

2:134 That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive the reward of what they earned and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do.

We are supposed to call to the way of Muhammad!

The great scholar Imam Maalik (rahimahullaah) said,

“The Ummah will not be rectified in the last days, except by that which rectified it in it’s beginning.”

O Muslims return to the Islaamic Aqeedah that our Salaf were upon, beginning with the proper understanding of Tawheed. Learn it, and raise your family upon it, so that the next generation of Muslims will not be as ignorant as we are.

  16. @ Daud,

I agree with everything in your post. I think Dawud was speaking in general. I beleive all prophets called to the way of Ibrahim in the general sense. No one will tell you to go and look for the suhuf of Ibrahim (as). I think we are blowing this way out of proportion. Personally I dont need a scholar to confirm this…..

  17. I am sure that if they let OJ out that he will look for the REAL armed robbers

  18. @daud

2:130 “and who turns away from the Millat of Abraham except him who befools himself”

4:125 “and who can be better in deen than one who submits his face to ALLAH and is a good doer and follows the Millat of Ibraheem the upright and ALLAH did take Ibraheem as a friend.

6:161 “say truly my God has guided me to a straight path a right deen the Millat of Ibraheem the upright and did not associate falsehood with ALLAH”

16:123 “ and then we inspired you follow the Millat of Ibraheem the upright and he was not of those who associate falsehood with ALLAH”

22:78 “…it is the Millat of your father Ibraheem…”

Following the Millat of Ibraheem is the path of tawheed; and leads to following the shari’ah of Muhammad (SAAS).

Actually, I can believe that I’m even responding to such nonsense, which has nothing to do with the post about OJ.

    Bi hawlillah!

  19. @ Dawudwalid:

Believe it because what you are witnessing is what clinical psycologist refer to as a Narcissistic Sociopath.
    @ Daud:
Go and study the symptoms for yourself.

So, as a consequence, Narcissistic Sociopaths don’t have any sensitivity for how what they do or what they say affects other people (especially their victims who they get fixated on). They don’t care even further they derive a sadistic pleasure from the pain they cause their victims. They are only interested in their desires.

So, I can predict with relative certainty and with little fear of contradiction that for him and his partner in fitna that this message will be just more grist for his tireless mill of purposelessness (except to molest the lives of others). And what we have unintentionaly done is that we are guilty of giving him more attention (whether we seek it or not) and who he feels don’t deserve and he’s out prove it at all costs. Even if he has to use their name to draw attention to himself. Even if it risks losing the favor of Allah.
