Salman al auda in his latest talk on mbc talks about the obama phenomenon and sees that it is a postive thing that americans have rejected bush’s team. He also mentions that according to ibn abbas luqman, the wise man in the quran was also black. And that umar bin khattab mentioned that if salem the freed slave of abu huthaifa was alive he would have appointed him caliph as he was very knowledgable. He was also black.
Infrastructure and energy investment sounds good… And all looks good for a 2011 pullout in Iraq. The Iraqi cabinet just passed SOFA today. But I have a sinking feeling our “staunch ally” is going to make a move on Iran before Bush leaves office.
Brother Nazir:
Did I miss something in your responses about “being black”? because so many people during the time of the Prophet(saaws) was black. Countless! I’m not just addressing this to you; but it’s always been Africans and Arabs mixing. Umm Ayman aka Barakah in what I’ve read was the first step Mother of the Prophet(saaws).
I see that you are quoting “Salman al Auda” but did he miss his own history? “Africans have been in key positions in his own country. The Prophet(saaws) sent them to Hijra to Ethiopia, and the king was black and he ruled over them. They didn’t have a say so in how the country was running.
Egypt one of the cradle of civilization had great “black leaders” I abhor, how they seem to want us to believe that non-Nubians had anything to do with Egypt. However when you look at the photos in the pyramids it tells a different story.
Musa(as) was of dark skinned; as he was told to “put his hands in his pocket, then take it out; “and when he did, it was white as snow. If he was already “white” what’s the miracle in this?
Kuwait a stones throw away from Saudi, has a King that is the product of one of the royal families son marrying a Sudanese.
Obama is in “fact” not our first black president of America. I would like to add this though; it’s strange that the Arab would comment on Obama at all, when so many men like Obama has been in leadership position in their own region. Obama is of mixed heritage and so is many of them. I would correct myself though. Even though Obama is not the first “black president” of America. He is the first black president “elected” with the peoples full knowledge.
Again, I’m not just addressing you personally Nazir. I’m just shock the Arabs would say anything about his “blackness”lol! or a Black in Leadership.
I forgot to add. I think its funny how many times Obama has said “he will catch and kill Osama bin Laden, lol! Oh really? This man has to prove his “dying commitment” to the system to be accepted. He talks about Al Qadea” like he knows what he is talking about. He talks about Osama bin Laden more than our own President Bush.
If Muslims don’t know who Michael Scheuer is they should get themselves familiar with him. Michael Scheuer, ex-head of the CIA’s first bin Laden unit. He is the most honest in my opinion on what direction America is going to deal with Muslims. If you google him, you will see many videos and article of him.
Thanks for the link, when you have the ex head of the CIA saying AIPAC is a problem. Believe me it is a problem. There is an alternate lobby called J Street while my limited research has suggested they are “moderate zionists”. They are moderates non the less I’m not sure if CAIR has any common ground there but it’s something to look into.
