Even The Right is Impressed

Some on the right (the fair ones) are impressed with many of Obama’s Cabinet picks. So much for all the talk of trying to start a new USSR and such nonsense.

Such reticence has not afflicted everyone on the right, though. Here’s Max Boot, conservative editorialist, author and military historian: “I am gobsmacked by these appointments, most of which could just as easily have come from a President McCain.” Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader, declared that the Obama administration was “off to a good start.” And New York Times columnist David Brooks has acknowledged he is “tremendously impressed.” If I were a left-winger, I would be tearing out my hair about now.

The far right is so confused that they are having to make up wacky conspiracy theories that even others on the right are debunking. I suppose once the claims that claim that Obama’s birth certificate is fake is debunked once and for all, they will start spreading the same rumors they spread against Clinton in the 1990’s.

There was good money in that racket as Jerry Fallwell sold many videos, show such as the “Clinton Body Count“, that claimed that then Governor Clinton sold drugs from the Governor’s mansion in Little Rock and had many people ‘executed’.

There is also still an opportunity to make plenty of money from the “world is going to end in 2012″ racket as well. Plenty of them will believe that Obama is the Anti-Christ and buy up all the merchandise they think they “need” to prepare.

  1. Hello there,

So far, Obama has made some respectable selections for his inner circle…. he has to still pick a gay person and a lesbian person and an Asian woman and at least three Latinos. He still has a predominately-white blue-blood team…so he has some more work to do in order to have the diversity that he promised.

I am happy with his placement of the black women who were appointed… he still needs to bring in two more…one of them being Donna Brazile.

I still think that Obama needs to bring Lani Guinier into Washington - the Clintons abandoned her and she was a POWERHOUSE!!

  2. I thought of you when Obama said something about ‘mind control’ the other day. I forgot what exactly he was talking about.

Don’t you know that is why people wear those tin foil hats? The tin foil prevents those super secret mind reading machines from reading your thoughts

  4. It makes sense that the right would be impressed, seeing as how many on the left are not.
