Beginning Not to Feel This Stimulus Plan
UPDATE: Read the Stimulus Plan
As details are released, I am seeing some things that I do not like about this Stimulus Plan
Under the guise of ECONOMIC stimulus, we have expansion of abortion and birth control:
Section 5004 of the Medicaid expansion includes language that smuggles the left’s social agenda into law under the guise of stimulus. This section undercuts parental authority, increases control over taxpayer dollars by family planning clinics, and expands exactly who is eligible to receive the benefits. Contrary to current law, the income of parents or even a spouse would not be counted in determining eligibility. So a child in a family at any income level could be eligible for free family planning services. And thanks to a “presumptive eligibility period” in the legislation, no parent ever needs to be notified that his or her child applied for Medicaid. Finally, applicants would not have to prove citizenship before “presumptive eligibility” is determined.
And while I can understand spending money on education, how is this economic stimulus?
I hope that some of this can be removed

Looks like big brother is looking more and more like big daddy…
How is this economic stimulus? good question.
If this is what section 5004 is about( that part of it), I’m not liking it. While I would never want my child to undermine my authority, I do not want our government telling me how to raise my kids. They have no right to tell parents what to do with them. They way it’s set up, parents may as well go to an authoritarian county and live there. At least their governments/monarchies are honest in how they want their people to be.
I think they are thinking about the future debt incured from unwanted pregnacys from middle and lower income people who will have to make tougher choices as the econmy grows worst. They are looking at the increase and extention of unemployment payments and its relation to the increase demand and applications for other services such as wick, medicad, and welfare. Its only logical for the gov to make steps to lower the amount applicants to resources that they will most likly have to cut even more in the future. The gov cant tell you or force you to have a baby or not but it can provide resources that will benefit the tax payer burden overall.
I think that provision was taken out the proposed bill. There’s another different House bill being proposed. So so far we haven’t seen the final actual stimulus plan to be voted on yet.
Will enjoy reading more. Adding to bookmarks. I thank you for this page.
I was hoping I could ask you a rhetorical question about yourself, would that be ok? Its always good to share a great post.
Good info, thanks for the share. If I ask you a rhetorical question about yourself, you wouldn’t mind would you?
