Right Wingers are having a hissy fit that no Bible was used

  1. Rightwingers have misplaced priorities. They should be more upset that their chief justice flubbed the oath necessitating this second ceremony in the first place. According to my understanding, constitutionally Obama’s ascension to power is time based, not oath based, so that at 12 noon on January 20th he became president. Besides what’s he supposed to do, waltz into the Library of Congress and get the Lincoln bible on the spur of the moment because the Chief Justice blew it? They’d probably call that abuse of power. The Right has decided they’re going to whine for the next four years about everything. I’m gonna sit back and laugh at ‘em.

  2. I don’t see why the right wingers should have a fit about when John was the person that screwed him up. On top of that Obama meets all the requirements to be our president. Our consitution states nothing about having a bible/being a Christian to be president. If theywould have done their homework they would have realize that a couple of our past pres
idents that was sworn in also screwed up and that a couple fo them were even agnostic. Geez! it just sad how those right wingers want to come up with every excuse to keep Barack from being president. He’s met all the requirements and they need to get over it.

  3. John Adams swore on a book of laws rather than the Bible, not because he was an agnostic or anything, but more due to his principles of secularism. And he was one of our greatest leaders.

There’s no requirement to use anything. Teddy Roosevelt didn’t.

And no one would dare accuse those guys of being namby pamby lefties.
