Obama To Talk With Hamas?

According to the Guardian, the Obama Administration will open talks with Hamas.
The incoming Obama administration is prepared to abandon George Bush’s doctrine of isolating Hamas by establishing a channel to the Islamist organisation, sources close to the transition team say.
The move to open contacts with Hamas, which could be initiated through the US intelligence services, would represent a definitive break with the Bush presidency’s ostracising of the group. The state department has designated Hamas a terrorist organisation, and in 2006 Congress passed a law banning US financial aid to the group.
Time will tell if this is true or not. If so, let’s see how he can bridge the gap between the two sides

The fact that Obama is willing to talk to Hamas shows he recognizes the Democratic election of Hamas in Gaza.
I hope that Obama means what he says.
Its not a matter of choice no more. The American Adminstration has to negotate with Hamas. Hezbollah gained grounds with the U.S’s approval. talking with Hamas saves Egypt’s face.
marginalization of adversaries can no longer be persued the U.S isnt that strong anymore. nor its adversaries are weak.

It’s cool for Obama to talk to Hamas for political reasons, but the Muslims can not get emotional about it; because Hamas and Hezbollaah are both shi’a organizations. If you are one of those who goes around thinking the shi’a are our brothers, then read the book Kaafi by Muhammad Ibn Ya’qub Al-Kulayni; and then tell me if you still think they’re Muslims!!
