Richardson Withdraws As Commerce Secretary

He has a scandal of his own brewing and he did not want to bring the entire new administration down with him

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, tapped in December by President-elect Barack Obama to serve as secretary of Commerce, has withdrawn his name for the position, citing a pending investigation into a company that has done business with his state.

“Let me say unequivocally that I and my Administration have acted properly in all matters and that this investigation will bear out that fact,” he said Sunday in a report by NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell. “But I have concluded that the ongoing investigation also would have forced an untenable delay in the confirmation process.”

  1. Or maybe he does not want to be part of Obama’s upcoming genocide plans.

    Hey, Joe Biden warned:

“We’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

I don’t blame him if he got scared.

  2. Genocide??

Who is Obama supposedly planning this genocide on? Who is going along with it?

    Are you serious?

  3. Amin Nathari,

    You should stop watching MSM.

Did not Obama threatened to nuke Pakistan during election campaign? And when you have 200 military bases around the world, what do you think they are doing, darling? Picnic?

  4. BTW to all Tariq et. al.

Arabs and Brown - Yellow people are not only ones suffering from America’s wrath:

I lived in Mali during 2004, and there were US special forces in the Sahara of Mali, Niger, and Mauritania. Reports have shown that US special forces have attacked local people in those areas, in an attempt to ‘act’ as islamic fundamentalists who need to be destroyed. We hear oh so little about those areas, their people, their oil resources and what on earth the Americans are doing there.

    Me think not Picnic.

  5. I find it hard to believe that some of the people that post here can actually be serious. Had I not met people like this, I would deny it

  6. Good night, Amin Nathar.

Sorry, I can’t send a photo frame along with.

  8. He is a good governor. one of the best really. Customer service at the DMV, and the hospitals receive a 10 from me thus far. the roads are always nice, the communities are kept clean. the “hood” doesnt look like the “hood” and i think i’ve seen 4 homeless people in the past year.

I hope he gets his buisness back in order.

  9. Amin Nathari,

I guess, you never heard ‘AFRICOM’?

And with a Black faced chairman, the British, French and Belgian colonial era in Africa combined will paled far far and far away compare to AFRICOM’s mission.

Yea, continue to blame everything on the Arabs, like this blog’s owner.

  10. @ gess

you mind showing me where Tariq or I have “blamed Arabs for everything”?

That is the thing about some people. Just keep throwing an accusation around until it sticks right?

  11. Amin Nathari,

I think you are old enough to know that you don’t need a bandage to deslike something. Ever heard of “my best friend is…”? I have, numerous times.

Anyway, give us your thoughts on AFRICOM. Don’t you consider it a genocide having AFRICOM in Africa, and where Obama is comander in Chief?

  12. I thought so, Amin Nathari.

If you need to know more about AFRICOM, start your journey here.
