Even if the ugly American happens to be Muslim. A CIA agent, that is a convert to Islam, is accused of raping two Algerian Muslim women - and video taping it to boot. I hope that this doesn’t turn into another Abu Guraib incident
Officials say the 41-year old CIA officer, a convert to Islam, was ordered home by the U.S. Ambassador, David Pearce, in October after the women came forward with their rape allegations in September.
The discovery of more than a dozen videotapes showing the CIA officer engaged in sex acts with other women has led the Justice Department to broaden its investigation to include at least one other Arab country, Egypt, where the CIA officer had been posted earlier in his career, according to law enforcement officials.

Why do they have to say he was a convert to Islam?
I think they figure it takes some of the “ugly” edge off. It also appears that all of the parties involved regularly drink alcohol.
I’m still surprise there hasn’t been any reaction over Christian Missionaries embedded with US armed forces in Afghanistan. There would never allow that for muslims.

There are no embedded missionaries of any sort with US Forces.
There may be missionaries within Afghanistan that are English speaking but they are not embedded or supported by the DoD.
There are military Chaplains (Christian, Jew, Muslim) that wear a uniform and devote their time to US Soldiers but they are under orders not to engage the locals in any religoius capacity.

I read that article BTW and nowhere does it say that the Chaplain was talking to anyone but US Soldiers. When they were ‘on the road’ they (Chaplains) were going to US Soldiers in the field.
Who knows? Maybe his conversion is fake to get close to people???
Is the conversion story real? It appears he was from the DC area. Do local Muslims know of this man at all? What is the source of the reports that he was Muslim? The story is extremely fishy. Was it a political ploy to get sympathy in Algeirs, or to make the story less offensive? (He’s one of yours, deal with it).
Or was this whole thing to frame the guy? I would assume CIA investigates its guys discretely. Why on earth was a Muslim convert regularly making drinks for Muslim women in his home?
He released a statement saying that the sex was consensual, therefore he bore witness against himself; that he’s an open fornicator. Him and the women he fornicated with should be punished according to the Shar’eeah. They had no business being alone together, nor drinking khamr etc. I’m still pissed over this horrible affair since I heard about it two days ago.

Whether Muslim, Christian, Buddhist etc, this man was straight up wrong morally and legally. Then he videotapes himself? Oh yeah ,that was really brilliant work on his part..really brilliant work on his part.
Like Visitor said, he could have used his religion for his own demented purposes. He already is despicable in committing those rapes, but it would be even more despicable for him to use God like that.
